About our Anthology
Themes that will be explored in this collection include:
Love
Friendship
Roots
Childhood
Legacy
Growth
Grief
Identity
Each chapter is a doorway into a different chapter of life. Some gentle, some heavy, all meaningful. Together, they form a mosaic of memories that remind us of one simple truth: beneath every story, we feel the same things.
Submission Guidelines
Here are some rules that you should follow before submitting your writing.
You must be either (i) a citizen of Mauritius; or (ii) a resident of Mauritius; or (iii) an individual with a clear and meaningful connection to Mauritius (including heritage, upbringing, or thematic relevance in your work).
Each person is allowed to submit a maximum of 2 writing works. They may be in the same or different categories. Spam submissions (same content submitted more than once) will be considered as 1 entry, with only the first one submitted being accepted.
Writing can be in English, French or Mauritian Creole.
Submissions must be entirely your own original creation. Any form of copied or uncredited content is strictly prohibited and will lead to immediate disqualification.
Entries must be written by the author and not Ai-generated content. Such detected writing will be subject to disqualification.
Only previously unpublished pieces are accepted. Work that has appeared anywhere publicly, including online platforms, will not be considered.
Submissions must be respectful and free from offensive, harmful, or inappropriate material. The editorial team reserves the right to decline entries that do not align with the anthology’s values.
By submitting, authors grant permission for their work to be edited for clarity, formatting, and consistency, and to be published as part of the anthology and marketing materials with proper credit given.
